The home of the Wisconsin Land and Lumber Company and the IXL (I excel) Flooring Company is designated as a Michigan State Historic Site and is also on the National Register of Historic Places.

The historic office building offers visitors a snapshot of life in the late 1800s. When you visit our museum, you will feel as though the employees just stepped out of their offices for the day. Office machines are still in place, invoices dating to 1882 fill the filing cabinets, pay books are available to look at, and the furnished family living quarters occupy the second floor. Free will offerings are gladly accepted in place of an admission fee.
